  1. Good luck with that last one, Trump.
I can't argue with choosing life though.
Hope this trends, Michael! Care to do one for Clinton as well?

    1. Hm, I don't know enough about her character... Would she destroy the country like Trump would?

    2. Hilary has her flaws, but compared to Trump, she's a saint.

  2. Ughhh...these are so true and how scary. I hope Hilary gets in but the South gets the right to vote and they are the same who would love the confederate flag only, slavery, tons of guns and stupidity is bliss. Yup, I know, I am whitewashing and judging all but sometimes it just feels good to vent. Trump is still one scary freak.

    1. I get that - I recently wrote a post asking people not to pay out on Trump because he's just a voice for others who believe the same as him. But like you said, venting is fun.

    2. Trump is the result of a lack of leadership in the Republican party. When Senator McCain ran for President, he would correct his supporters for making excessive statements. It is not a good situation.
I take exception to Birgit's comment. One problem in the United States is that the South is blamed for failed policies of the Republican party and all racism. Racism is a national problem. You have to sweep around your own door before you sweep around someone else.
I am a Southerner. In some ways we are ahead of the rest of the country because civil right laws are enforced in the South that do not affect the rest of the country. There is a shift of African Americans moving to the South.
Statements like Birgit may be a vent to her; but they affect my region of the country economically. The greatest problem in the South has been poverty. This region was disproportionately affected more by the Great Depression of the 1930s.
As an American, I don't like the scapegoating. We have a good country and good people. Shifting the blame for our social problems do not solve them.
I don't think Trump is a racist. He is a salesman selling baloney. The RNC controls their nominee and they don't want him. Looking at the cast of characters nominated by the right wing fringe of the Republican party. Many Republicans will vote for the Democratic candidate.
I have voted Democrat in almost all elections with the exception of two. I vote for the person who I think will do the best job. We've had a great President in Obama. Whoever follows him will not look that great.

    3. I apologise on Birgit's behalf for any offense. I agree, Trump seems to just be a salesman who likes the idea of being the most powerful man in the world.

    4. There is no need to apologize. You are not responsible for Birgit's statements. However, her simple approach to complex problems is why someone like Trump is doing so well. Birgit has a right to her opinion and prejudices. However, neither are facts.
I don't think Trump is electable. If for some reason that happened, he would meet the "sword of Pericles".

    5. Birgit is an intelligent woman, and is at least partly correct in what she wrote. Quite a few people in Southern states display the Confederate flag. For some, it's a symbol of fraternity. For others, it's a symbol of racism. I don't know how anyone could be much more racist than Donald Trump. I don't think he's "selling" fake beliefs to get elected. I think he believes what he says. A good point about the South is that the African-American voters usually support Democrats.

      Love,
      Janie

    6. I do think he believes MOST of what he says. But there are issues like abortion in which his opinion just seems to fit with whoever he's talking to.

  3. It boggles my mind that anyone can take seriously a trash bag filled with jello and hate, colored with orange chalk, topped with absurd swirl of confetti and deep need for attention. To your point that you think he believes most of what he's saying, there's no way that's true because he's constantly contradicting himself. John Oliver said it best: https://youtu.be/DnpO_RTSNmQ
Trump's America would be as gaudy and grotesque as the things that bear his name.

  4. I don't know what to make of him.

I was amused/confused/horrified last night when he condemned the violence at his rallies, but then did not disavow his prior support of the violence, encouragement of the violence, and offers to the pay any legal bills of violent people.

I guess Trump answers are feeling more than thinking type things.

  5. Well, haven't you jumped into the fray here in the US. I'm a Trump supporter because I think he can make a difference without having to look back to see who supported him for the election. He is being elected by the people who want to make changes. And really, it's our election....no need for other countries to get into it at all. Just saying.

    1. I think the right to ridicule isn't held within a country's borders (our previous prime minister was made fun of quite badly on one particular American tonight show, and I think that was fair game). However, unlike most people who say "Everyone has a right to their opinion" and then ruins it and then ruins it by showing disdain for the other person, I assure you I actually do have respect for your belief in Trump In turn, I hope you can respect my opposing belief.

  6. I'm proof that you don't have to be poor to be white trash. #TrumpsAmerica

Marriage is strictly defined as being between a man and an increasingly younger woman, which is a result of getting sick of the previous, gross "older" ones. #TrumpsAmerica

I'm not racist - I love those brown people I'm going to hire to build my giant wall (to keep brown people out). #TrumpsAmerica
