Podcast

Yesterday I talked about my old blog The World As I See It and some of the great moments that blog had produced. Today I'll go into more detail about the podcast I did with fellow blogger Rusty.

It started when a third blogger, Jax, wrote a post on her own blog about the world's sexiest accents. She only listed Australian as number 6 (lame!), but comments from her readers seemed to indicate that they rated our accent a lot higher. So her and a fourth blogger called The Lady in Red conspired up a plan. She got onto Rusty and I and asked us to record a podcast which put our super-sexy accents up for display. They came up with a list of words and sentences that they wanted us to say (pretty much all of them were sexual) and emailed them to us. When we actually sat down and recorded it, it ended up going for about 75 minutes. So we split it into three sections and put one section on each person's blog. Unfortunately Lady in Red missed out, so we made sure to mention her a few times in our conversation. Here they are for you in all their original glory. It's downloadable, so you don't have to listen to it now. Download it, put it on your phone, listen to it in the car/on the bus/while you're doing house work. Then visit back and tell me what you think ;)

As a bonus surprise, here's a never-before-heard second episode. The community seemed to like what we'd done, so Jax put out the call for other readers to ask questions that we could answer. Interestingly, some of the people who asked questions are popular bloggers that we didn't know at the time, but I'm good friends with now (Jimmy Fungus, Pat Hatt, Caitlin S). We recorded it, but never managed to get it online. I think we got too busy at that point and our blogs fell away into obscurity. Well here it is Jax, sorry it's so late!

  1. While I can't comment on the 'sexiness' of your voices, I did listen to a few minutes of the first one. Nice to hear your voice.
And my wife thinks an Australian accent is very sexy. She would place it near number one.

  4. First of all, in regards to the youtube video in the last post... I don't think you will ever be able to live down lip synching to Justin Bieber, but it is your life and you may live it as you wish.

Jax is one of the coolest people on the vast expanse of the internets. I thought I vaguely remembered this original post, and I guess I was right about remembering since I apparently asked a question. I will listen to the never before heard second episode later, because mainly I like to hear my name said on the internet. I listened to some of the first one until I was finished with my Arby's. I would listen to them all at work but I would probably get in trouble for listening to such provocative and sexy chatter.

    1. Jax is indeed fantastic. It would be a lot better if we'd had better quality mics :P Totally understand, I love being talked about ;)

Thanks for your understanding with the Bieber video :)

  5. No doubt, your voices are sexy. I'd put the Aussie accent at #2 sexiest.
Sorry, the South African voice does it for me.

    1. No problem, I'm sure glad they're well-received :)

The show was pretty good, but I only had small bit-roles throughout the series and it was before I'd had any acting lessons :P Nevertheless, heres a place to find them if you're interested :)
